Neil Gunn was born and raised in Central Texas, but has lived in the mountains and deserts of the southwest for most of his life. Neil is an analytical thinker and brings this aptitude to his art. He understands art theory and its application and has a keen eye in determining what works in a painting. He has a broad background in art and design, and studied commercial art, graphic design, painting and sculpture. Eventually, Aleksander Titovets served as a mentor, and catalyst to focus previous experiences and solidify Neil's interest in painting. Neil has exhibited his work in many regional shows, and his paintings hang in private collections across the country.
